Mission Statement

It is the intent of Family Physical Therapy Service to provide quality, state-of-the-art services, through the means of highly efficient procedures, to help the patient empower themselves, for their highest level of function, maintaining quality care, and privacy to the patient at all times.

Vision

Family Physical Therapy Services is dedicated to providing guidance and education to the patient and the community, to take control of and be responsible for their optimal physical well-being , while striving to benefit the patient, community, and staff, with up-to- date training and information both locally, nationally, and internationally.

 

Cheryl Wisinski, PT, DPT

Dr. Wisinski is a licensed physical therapist and a partner in Family Physical Therapy Services. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Des Moines University, Iowa. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the physical therapy program at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, in 1986, and received her BS at St. Mary's University, San Antonio, in 1984. A native of Nebraska, she returned to the state in 1987 to set up her practice. She serves in elected positions in both the Section on Women's Health, and in the Nebraska Chapter, of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Dr. Wisinski has received specialized training in manual therapy techniques for the spine and pelvis, as well as certification in lymphedema drainage and orthotics casting. She has spent over 15 years specializing in Women's Health. She routinely lectures at area medical programs and provides seminars to medical professionals around the country. On a state level, she has been honored with the Mary Ellen Sackseder Award, by the Nebraska Chapter, APTA. On a national level, she has been recognized by the National Association for Continence as the Continence Care Champion, and by the APTA as the Outstanding Physical Therapist/Physical Therapist Assistant Team Award.

 

Dan Peetz, PT, OCS, MTC

Mr. Peetz graduated with honors from the Unviersity of North Dakota in 1980. He is a licensed physical therapist and partner in Family Physical Therapy Services. Dan has extensive training in musculoskeletal evaluation and treatment, and is among the few physical therapists in the U.S. board certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He is also one of two physical therapists in Nebraska to receive Certification in Manual Therapy by the Institute of Graduate Physical Therapy; this distinction achieved in 1993.

Dan is currently a member of the Orthopedic Section, the Women's Health Section, and the Private Practice Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). He serves in an active role for the Nebraska Chapter of the APTA. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.

Both therapists are trained medical professionals with the common goal of restoring healthy movement and function. They regularly attend seminars on the latest treatment techniques and work hard to educate the public in the prevention of injuries as well as promoting optimal health. Dr. Wisinski and Mr. Peetz both are active in national and local research, have written articles for local and national newspapers and magazines, and have published studies in journals nationwide.
